Fetherston Camellia Cabernet Sauvignon - Malbec 2022

Fetherston Camellia Cabernet Sauvignon - Malbec 2022

$30.00
The Fetherston Camellia Cabernet Sauvignon - Malbec 2022 is a delightful blend crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grapes sourced from a 33-year-old vineyard. This medium-bodied wine exudes elegance and character, showcasing pure berry fruit flavors with subtle hints of violet and charcoal. With no green notes, this wine offers a smooth and refined drinking experience. The hand-picked fruit undergoes gentle treatment in the winery, resulting in a vibrant blend that captures the essence of the Yarra Valley terroir. The wine presents a deep crimson ruby color and reveals aromas of mocha, cedar, blackcurrant, blackberry, and delicate notes of marzipan.

The wine is made with very gentle treatment in the winery, fermented similarly to a Beaujolais style, highlighting the fruit-forward nature of the blend.

Fetherston Wines

Fetherston Vintners is the collaboration of Chris Lawrence and Camille Koll.
The journey of Fetherston Vintners began on a fateful night in April 2013, when they met at a mutual friend's birthday. Their love of food, wine, and friends instantly connected them, and they have been inseparable ever since.
With an intense desire to create beautiful wines, they established Fetherston Vintners in 2014. They moved swiftly to source high-quality fruit from trusted winegrowers, enabling them to release small batches of their first wines in 2015.
With each passing vintage, Fetherston brand and their wines mature and evolve, as do they.
In late 2022, they purchased 40-acres of prime viticultural land in Hoddles Creek – in the cool hills of the upper Yarra Valley – a mere stone’s throw from Camille’s childhood farm. It’s a massive project, starting with the removal of remnant berry bushes and infrastructure, rehabilitating the soils then eventually planting out their own vineyard.
