Achával-Ferrer has one single passion: to craft world-class, terroir-driven red wines from Argentina. It produces the most critically acclaimed Malbecs from Mendoza, sourced from single vineyards with low-yielding, old ungrafted vines.

Orange peel and balsamic flavours combine harmoniously with the violets and red fruit notes typical from Malbec. Mineral notes and a sharp acidity give this wine a character of its own.

Fermented in cement tanks, with spontaneous malolactic fermentation and aging for 15 months new French oak barrels.

Altamira Estate was planted in 1950 at the foot of the Andes, on the southern bank of the Tunuyán River. Altamira is a mountain with extreme weather. The growing conditions are so challenging and the soil profile so unique that the typicality of this Malbec goes beyond its normal descriptors. The orange peel and balsamic flavors harmoniously combine with the notes of violets and typical red fruits of Malbec. The mineral notes and a marked acidity give this wine a unique and distinct identity.
